The Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG), master commercial developer for the 28-acre Lower Hill Redevelopment Project in the heart of Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking professional services and trades organizations, with an emphasis on W/MBE companies, to assist with advancing this transformational project.

The project is currently in predevelopment and is expected to break ground in mid-2021. The project will feature over 500,000 square feet of new office space and over 200,000 square feet of new entertainment/ retail areas - along with complementary hospitality, multifamily and public open space development. BPG and its public partners are also preparing an open Request for Qualifications (RFQ) highlighting opportunities on the project for WMBEs in the areas of labor, professional services, retail tenancy and ownership.

There will be opportunities for residents from the Greater Hill District and beyond to be employed in the redevelopment project as part of construction, professional services contractors or other elements of the work.  We are working with different organizations such as Partner4Work and The Builders Guild. in collaboration with the building trade unions to open up apprenticeships and training opportunities for Greater Hill District Residents. We are in the process of establishing our workforce development structure in collaboration with the contracting team.
